Application: Paliperidone has been used as an atypical antipsychotic drug (AAPD) to study its efficacy in preventing psychopathology of mice prenatally immune challenged with lipopolysaccharide (LPS). It has also been used as an atypical antipsychotic drug (AAPD) to explain the modulation of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis in female mice prenatally treated with bacterial endotoxin lipopolysaccharide (LPS).
Biochem/physiol Actions: Paliperidone is an atypical antipsychotic; active metabolite of risperidone.
