Analysis of PIAS3 expression in Mouse retina. Fresh frozen sections of Mouse retina were stained with Monoclonal Anti-PIAS3 (Cat. No. P0117) at 2.5 μg/mL. PIAS3 expression is clearly seen in photoreceptor layer (outer nuclear layer) of the retina. Blue areas represent DAPI staining.

Western Blotting HepG2 total cell extract were separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Monoclonal Anti-PIAS3 antibody produced in Mouse, Clone: PIA3 (Cat. No. P0117). | Biochem/physiol Actions: | Protein inhibitor of activated STAT protein 3 (PIAS3) and other members of this family can act as small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO) E3 ligases and interfere with the transcription activity of many transcription factors. PIAS3 binds to microphthalmia-associated transcription factor (MITF), a key DNA-binding protein. It blocks MITF DNA-binding activity and co-expression of MITF. PIAS3 in NIH 3T3 cells inhibits MITF-driven transcription activity. |
