| Biochem/physiol Actions: | The interaction with PINCH proteins (PINCH-1 and 2) is important for localization of integrin linked kinase protein to cell matrix contact sites. It plays a key role in cell−matrix adhesion. PINCH2 is co-expressed and co-localized with PINCH-1/ILK complex. PINCH1 interacts with Wilms tumor 1 protein (WT1) in podocytes. Elevated expression of PINCH1 is observed in human laryngeal carcinoma. |

| General description: | Monoclonal Anti-PINCH-1 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma PINCH-C58 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells (NS1 cells) and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a peptide of human PINCH1, conjugated to KLH. LIM and senescent cell antigen-like-containing domain protein 1 (LIMS1) or particularly interesting new Cys-His protein 1 (PINCH-1) is widely expressed. It has five LIM domains. It has leucine-rich nuclear export signal (NES) and nuclear localization signal (NLS) at the C-terminus. Human PINCH-1 and 2 are encoded by two different genes that are 82% identical in their amino acid sequence. |
| Immunogen: | peptide corresponding to amino acids 281-299 of human PINCH-1, conjugated to KLH. |
| Physical form: | Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide. |
