| Application: | MOPS is a biological buffer also referred to as a “Propane Sultone” buffer. The pKa of MOPS is 7.01 which make it an ideal candidate for medias and protein based buffer formulations to maintain a stable environment in solution. MOPS is considered to be non-toxic to culture cell lines and provides high-solution clarity. MOPS is used in cell culture media, biopharmaceutical buffer formulations (both upstream and downstream). MOPS based buffers are used in purification bioprocesses of antibodies, peptides, proteins and blood components. |
