Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from K562 cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified Rabbit Anti-MLL1 antibody Cat. No. PLA0100 for IP used for IP at 6 μg/mg lysate. The C-terminal 180 kDa Fragment of MLL1 was also immunoprecipitated by MLL1 Antibody B. For blotting immunoprecipitated MLL1, PLA0100 was used at 1 μg/mL. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 10 seconds.

| Biochem/physiol Actions: | MLL1 (mixed-lineage leukemia) is a histone methyltransferase and has a role in embryogenesis and hematopoiesis. MLL1 is a transcriptional co-activator and regulates epigenetic gene expression through chromatin modification. MLL1 is associated with NF-κB (nuclear factor kappa B) pathway- induced brain tumor proliferation. On the other hand, MLL1 is known to prevent metastasis and invasion in cervical cancer. |
