Immunohistochemistry Rabbit Anti-DDB1 Antibody, Affinity Purified: Cat. No. PLA0108: Detection of Human and Mouse DDB1 by Immunohistochemistry. Sample: FFPE section of Human pancreatic islet cell tumor (left) and Mouse squamous cell carcinoma (right). Antibody: Affinity purified Rabbit Anti-DDB1 (Cat. No. PLA0108) used at a dilution of 1:1,000 (0.2 μg/mL). Detection: DAB
Western Blotting Rabbit Anti-DDB1 Antibody, Affinity Purified: Cat. No. PLA0108: Detection of Human and Mouse DDB1 by Western Blot and Human DDB1 by Immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15, and 50 μg for WB; 1 mg for IP), Ramos (Lane R; 50 μg) and Mouse NIH3T3 (Lane M; 50 μg) cells. Antibody: Affinity purified Rabbit Anti-DDB1 Antibody (Cat. No. PLA0108) used at 0.1 μg/mL for WB (A and B) and at 3 μg/mg lysate for IP. DDB1 was also immunoprecipitated using an affinity purified Antibody to an upstream epitope on DDB1. Immunoprecipitation reactions were controlled using normal Rabbit IgG (Ctrl. IgG). Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds (A and B).

Immunogen: The epitope recognized by PLA0108 maps to a region between residue 1100 and the C-terminus (residue 1140) of human damage-specific DNA binding protein 1 using the numbering given in TrEMBL entry Q13289 (GeneID 1642).
Other Notes: DDB1 (DNA Damage Binding Protein 1) is a subunit of the DNA damage-binding protein complex (DDB) involved in DNA repair. As part of a complex with Cul4-based ubiquitin ligase, Cul4-Ddb1 can directly modify chromatin through the ubiquitination of histones as well as ubiquitinate other chromatin bound factors. A deficiency in Cul4-Ddb1 ubiquitin ligase has been associated with xeroderma pigmentosum, a heritable disease characterized by defects in nucleotide excision repair and skin cancer development.
