Western Blotting Rabbit Anti-p400 Antibody, Affinity Purified: Cat. No. PLA0116: Detection of Human p400 by Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate (5, 15 and 50 μg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 1/4 of IP reaction loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified Rabbit Anti-p400 Antibody (Cat. No. PLA0116) used at 0.04 μg/mL for WB (A and B) and at 3 μg/mg lysate for IP. Immunoprecipitation of p400 was also accomplished using a Rabbit Anti-p400 Antibody which is to an upstream epitope on p400. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 30 seconds (A) and 10 seconds (B).

| Other Notes: | p400 belongs to the SWI2/SNF2 family of chromatin remodeling proteins and is a component of the NuA4 histone acetyltransferase complex. In this complex p400 positively regulates transcription by modifying nucleosome structure. P400 has also been found to play a role in the p52-p21 pathway that regulates p21 transcription and senescence as well as the ARF-p53 pathway that couples cell proliferation to apoptosis. |
