Biochem/physiol Actions: Na+/H+ exchanger 1 (NHE1) modulates intracellular pH by exchanging a proton for an extracellular sodium ion and affects cell growth, proliferation, migration and apoptosis. It plays a major role in cancers including breast cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma, colon cancer, pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, prostate cancer, cervical cancer and neuroblastoma.

General description: SLC9A1 (solute carrier family 9 member A1)/Na+/H+ exchanger 1 (NHE1), a plasma membrane transporter, is mapped to human chromosome 1p36. It belongs to the NHE family. NHE1 is abundantly expressed in all organisms.
Immunogen: a 17 amino acid peptide near the center of the human Nhe-1.
Other Notes: The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP4379 .
