| General description: | REDTaq® ReadyMix™ is a ready-to-use mixture of Taq DNA polymerase, 99% pure DNTPs, reaction buffer, and an inert red dye in a 2X concentrate. After the PCR reaction, the PCR product can be loaded directly onto an agarose gel. The red loading dye migrates at approximately the same rate as a 125 base pair fragment in a 1% agarose gel. The inert dye has no effect on the amplification process, and therefore, a sample can be easily re-amplified such as in “nested PCR”. |

| Preparation Note: | Add 25 μl of ReadyMix to template, primers and water to a final reaction volume of 50 μl. The PCR product is easily separated from the dye by standard purification methodologies. The inert red dye has no effect on automated sequencing and is suitable for restriction enzyme digestion, ligation and other downstream manipulations. |
