Biochem/physiol Actions: Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins-L (hnRNP-L) is involved in splicing regulations, internal translation initiation of hepatitis C virus (HCV), stability of the human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) mRNA under hypoxic growth conditions, and intron independent mRNA export.

General description: Monoclonal Anti-hnRNP-L (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the 4D11 hybridoma produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells (SP2/0 cells) and splenocytes from BALA/c mice immunized with hnRNP proteins and purified by affinity chromatography on ssDNA-agarose. RNA polymerase II transcripts in the nucleus are in complex with several proteins called heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoproteins (hnRNPs). hnRNPs consist of protein groups named A to U and many of these protein groups consist of more than one isoform. Group L and M are one of the most abundant groups of proteins.
Immunogen: hnRNP proteins.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, and 15 mM sodium azide.
