Biochem/physiol Actions: Rotigotine hydrochloride is a non-ergolinic D3/D2 and D1-dopamine agonist. It is appropriate for transdermal delivery through skin patches, that has the drug in a silicone-based adhesive matrix.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Rotigotine is a dopamine receptor agonist with preference for D3 receptors over D2 and D1. As such, it is an effective anti-Parkinsonian agent.
