| General description: | Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is a member of the epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) family. It is a single-chain transmembrane glycoprotein. EGFR comprises an extracellular ligand-binding ectodomain, a short juxtamembrane section, a transmembrane domain, a tyrosine kinase domain, tyrosine-containing C-terminal tail. Overexpression of EGFR is observed in breast cancer cells. |
