| General description: | Platelet factor 4 (PF4/CXCL4), a plasma-circulating exosomal signature protein or chemokine packed in platelet α-granules, is liberated upon stimulation during inflammation and wound healing. It may participate in lymphedema. PF4 is considered a biomarker for lymphatic-promoted disorders. It can prevent angiogenesis. It can promote innate immune responses. In prothrombotic diseases, PF4 coupled to surface glycosaminoglycans on platelets, monocytes, and endothelial cells is also an immunogenic target. The mouse PF-4 enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of mouse PF-4 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, and urine. |
