This γ-carboxylated protein is made up of 49 amino acids and is synthesized by osteoblasts, odontoblasts and hypertrophic chondrocytes. The bone γ-carboxyglutamate protein (BGLAP), that produces OCN is located on human chromosome 1q22. |
