| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Il12rb2 (interleukin 12 receptor subunit β 2) stimulates the release of interferon γ and Th1 (T helper cell 1) cell differentiation, as a part of autoimmune response. Il12rb2’s major function is associated with cell mediated immune system. In mice model, deletion of L12RB2 gene is associated with autoimmune and malignant disorders. |
| General description: | The IL12RB2 (interleukin 12 receptor subunit β 2) gene is mapped to human chromosome 1p31.3 and codes for the β2 chain (130 kDa) of IL-12 receptor. |
| General description: | This ELISA antibody pair detects human IL-12 R beta 2. Other species not yet determined. |
