Biochem/physiol Actions: Substance P (SP) improves the multiplication and paracrine ability of stem cells acquired from adipose in vitro. It participates in the movement of several organ tracts, trigger glandular secretion and controls autonomic reflexes. It plays an important role in neuroimmune and systemic autoimmune/inflammatory conditions like multiple sclerosis (MS), rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease and also in infections and cancer.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Substance P (SP) is a neurotransmitter or neuromodulator. SP mediates the process of neurogenic inflammation.
