Application: Anti-TFAM antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting (1:1000) and immunofluorescence.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Mitochondrial transcription factor A (TFAM) is involved in mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) synthesis, expression, and packaging. It is also involved in regulating the aggregation of mtDNA. TFAM stabilizes the mtDNA by binding to it in a sequence-depending manner and forms a nucleoid.
