Biochem/physiol Actions: Thymidylate synthetase (TYMS) has a role in DNA replication and thymidylate biosynthesis. It is also involved in cell survival and proliferation. TYMS takes part in folate metabolism. The protein methylates deoxyuridylate to deoxythymidylate.
