| General description: | Erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1-like 3 (EPB41L3)/protein 4.1B is expressed at high levels in the brain and neurons. Adipose tissue, kidney, testis, adrenal gland, and placenta also show high expression of EPB41L3. It is moderately expressed in the lungs and intestines. EPB41L3 gene is located on human chromosome 18p11.31. Protein 4.1B belongs to the protein 4.1 superfamily of proteins. It has an N-terminal 4.1/ezrin/radixin/moesin (FERM) domain. |
