| Biochem/physiol Actions: | During development, NRARP (NOTCH-regulated ankyrin repeat protein) is involved in crosstalk between NOTCH (neurogenic locus notch homolog protein) and WNT (wingless-type mouse mammary tumor virus integration site) signaling. Presence of NRARP allows proper vessel density in angiogenesis. In breast cancer, NRARP might enhances the cell proliferation. It is upregulated in thyroid cancer tissues and is associated with cell growth and invasion. It is also overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma tumor tissues. |
