Immunofluorescence TEF1 antibody [GT13112] detects TEF1 protein at nucleus by immunofluorescent analysis. Sample: HeLa cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde at RT for 15 min. Green: TEF1 protein stained by TEF1 antibody [GT13112] (SAB2702354) diluted at 1:400. Red: Phalloidin, a F-actin marker, diluted at 1:200.
Western Blotting TEF1 antibody [GT13112] detects TEF1 protein by western blot analysis. whole cell extracts and extracts (30 μg) were separated by 10% SDS-PAGE, and the membrane was blotted with TEF1 antibody [GT13112] (SAB2702354) at a dilution of 1:500.
Immunoprecipitation Immunoprecipitation of TEF1 protein from HeLa nuclear extracts using 5 μg of TEF1 antibody [GT13112] (SAB2702354). Western blot analysis was performed using TEF1 antibody [GT13112] (SAB2702354).

Biochem/physiol Actions: This gene encodes a ubiquitous transcriptional enhancer factor that is a member of the TEA/ATTS domain family. This protein directs the transactivation of a wide variety of genes and, in placental cells, also acts as a transcriptional repressor. Mutations in this gene cause Sveinsson's chorioretinal atrophy. Additional transcript variants have been described but their full-length natures have not been experimentally verified. [provided by RefSeq]
