| Application: | Anti-ZEB1 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in western blotting. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) controls the expression of E-cadherin as a repressor. It plays an important role in tumor invasion and metastasis. Epigenetic suppression of ZEB1 might be a useful tool for overcoming drug resistance in human breast cancer. Mutations in this gene are associated with posterior polymorphous corneal dystrophy and Fuchs′ endothelial corneal dystrophy (FECD6). |

| General description: | Zinc finger E-box-binding homeobox 1 (ZEB1) is an EMT (epithelial-mesenchymal transition) transcription factor. The gene encoding this protein is localized on human chromosome 10p11.2. |
| Immunogen: | ZEB1 antibody was raised against a 15 amino acid peptide near the center of human ZEB1. The immunogen is located within amino acids 530 - 580 of ZEB1. |
| Other Notes: | The action of this antibody can be blocked using blocking peptide SBP3500514 . |
| Physical form: | Supplied in PBS with 0.02% sodium azide. |
