Enhanced Validation-By Independent Antibodies Immunofluorescence. 3T3 cells were fixed and permeabilized with 4% paraformaldehyde followed by 0.5% Triton. Fixed cells were stained with 5 μg/mL Anti-PMP70 antibody produced in Rabbit (Cat. No. P0497) (A). The antibody developed using Anti-Rabbit IgG-Atto 448 conjugate antibody, and 5 μg/mL Anti-PMP70 antibody, Mouse monoclonal, Clone: 70-18 (Cat. No. SAB4200181) (B). The antibody was developed using Anti-Mouse IgG, Cy3 conjugate. Figure C- merged image of images A and B. Results Two Anti-PMP70 antibodies, P0497 (A) and SAB4200181 (B), target different regions of PMP70 show similar staining profiles between the two antibodies (C), demonstrating Independent Antibody Verification.
Immunofluorescence NIH-3T3 cells were fixed and permeabilized with 4% paraformaldehyde followed by 0.5% Triton™ X-100. Fixed cells were stained with 10μg/mL Monoclonal Anti-PMP70 Clone: 70-18 (Cat. Immunoblotting Whole extract of HepG2 cells was separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Monoclonal Anti-PMP70 Clone: 70-18 (Cat. No. SAB4200181). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A2304) and a chemiluminescent substrate. | Biochem/physiol Actions: | The 70 kDa peroxisomal membrane protein (PMP70) participates in the metabolic transport of long and very long fatty acids into peroxisomes. It forms a stable complex with the adrenoleukodystrophy protein, adrenoleukodystrophy protein (ALDP), and several other peroxisomal proteins. Mutations in the PMP70 (PXMP1) gene may cause a subset of Zellweger syndrome-2, an autosomal recessive disorder that is manifested by defective import mechanisms for peroxisomal matrix enzymes. |
