Both proteins are also involved in cellular transformation by beta-catenin and c-myc through their chromatin remodeling function. |

Pontin and reptin are two related members of the AAA+ (ATPases associated with diverse cellular activities) family of ATPases. Pontin and reptin share some homology to the bacterial RuvB gene. |
