Enhanced Validation-By Recombinant Expression Antibody recognition: Anti-Tensin 1 (internal) antibody produced in Rabbit (Cat. No. SAB4200298) is confirmed by western blot in the cell sample that has been altered to overexpress the target protein-HEK-293T over expressing Tensin 1 (Lane 1) while no staining is detected in the wild type sample-HEK-293T (Lane 2). The antibody was developed with Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, Peroxidase conjugate (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Antibody dilution: 1 μg/mL.
Immunoblotting Tisue and cell extracts were separated on SDS-PAGE, blotted with 1 μg/mL Anti-Tensin 1 (internal) (Cat. No. SAB4200298), and developed using Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Lanes 1. Rat heart 2. A10 3. HEK293-T overexpressing human tensin 1 4. HEK293-T non-transfected 5. HEK293-T overexpressing human tensin 1. Antibody + tensin 1 immunizing peptide 6. Rat heart. Antibody + immunizing tensin 1 peptide

Application: Anti-Tensin 1 (internal) antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Tensins play an important role in regulating cell shape and motility. Tensin 1 is involved in organizing the actin cytoskeleton and mediating signal transduction. TNS1 is implicated in myofibroblast differentiation. In addition, it also helps myofibroblasts to form nascent fibronectin and collagen matrix.

General description: Tensin 1, also known as TNS1, is a member of tensin protein family. Tensins are multi domain proteins containing homologous C1, protein phosphatases (PTPases), C2, Src homology 2 (SH2) domains and pTyr-binding (PTB) domains. Tensin 1 mRNA is widely expressed in mouse embryo and various human adult tissues and is localized to focal adhesions.
Immunogen: synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence located in the internal region of human tensin1, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in rat and mouse tensin1.
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
