Immunofluorescence
A10 cells were fixed and permeabilized with 4% paraformaldehyde followed by 0.5% Triton X-100. Fixed cells were stained with 2 μg/mL Rabbit Anti-Myocardin (Cat. No. SAB4200539). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG, FITC conjugate. Cells were counterstained with phalloidin rhodamine conjugate to stain Actin (red).

It also plays an essential role in smooth muscle cell (SMC) differentiation. The encoded protein regulates bone morphogenetic protein 10 (BMP10) expression and is required for cardiac development, as well as cardiomyocyte survival and maintenance of heart function. MYOCD expression is associated with the development of atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease and malignant transformation. |

The encoded protein is expressed in a precise developmentally regulated, lineage-restricted pattern in the embryo and during postnatal development. |
