| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Anti- WHAMM (C-terminal) recognizes human WHAMM. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | WASP homologue associated with actin, membranes, and microtubules (WHAMM) takes part in actin-related protein 2 & 3 (Arp2/3)-mediated actin polymerization, mediates Golgi membrane association and microtubule dynamics. It also takes part in the maintenance of Golgi structure and participates in vesicle transport between the endoplasmic reticulum and the Golgi apparatus. |

| General description: | WASP homologue associated with actin, membranes, and microtubules (WHAMM) is a nucleation promoting factor. It is located in the cis-Golgi and tubulo-vesicular membrane transport intermediates. WHAMM contains an N-terminal region, a coiled-coil region and a WCA region. It is located on the human chromosome at 15q25.2. |
| Immunogen: | peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human WHAMM , conjugated to KLH. |
| Physical form: | Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide. |
| Preparation Note: | For continuous use, store at 2–8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage freeze in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. If slight turbidity occurs upon prolonged storage, clarify the solution by centrifugation before use. Working dilution samples should be discarded if not used within 12 hours. |
