Immunohistochemistry Staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded human heart sections with 5 μg/mL Monoconal Anti-CDH13, Clone: CAD-5 (Cat. No. SAB4200672). The antibody was developed using biotin/ExtrAvidin®-Peroxidase.
Immunoblotting Whole extract of HeLa cells was separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Monoclonal Monoconal Anti-CDH13, Clone: CAD-5 (Cat. No. SAB4200672). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A2304) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Lanes 1. 2.5 μg/mL antibody 2. 5 μg/mL antibody 3. 5 μg/mL antibody + CDH13 immunizing protein
Immunoprecipitation Monoclonal Anti-CDH13, Clone: CAD-5 (Cat. No. SAB4200672) was used to immunoprecipitate CDH13 from HeLa whole cell lysate. Detection antibody: Monoclonal Anti-CDH13, followed by Goat Anti-mouse IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A2304) and a chemiluminescent substrate. Lanes 1. 5 μg/test antibody 2. 10 μg/test antibody 3. Negative control: 10 μg/test non-relevant antibody 4. Total HeLa whole cell lysate

Biochem/physiol Actions: Cadherin (CDH) is involved in mediating Ca2+-dependent cell-cell adhesion. Abnormalities in the CDH13 gene have been identified in human malignancies. Promoter methylation of CDH13 results in gene silencing in non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC). CDH13 is involved in cell migration, axon guidance and neurite growth. It is also associated with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). CDH13 is also involved in autism spectrum disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and depression.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Monoclonal Anti-CDH13 recognizes human Cadherin 13.

General description: Monoclonal Anti-CDH13 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma CAD-5 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice. Cadherin 13 (CDH13) is a member of the cadherins multigene family of single-chain glycoprotein receptors. It is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)- anchored member and a low-density lipoprotein (LDL)-binding protein usually found in smooth muscle. CDH13 is present in the brain and cardiovascular system. It is mapped on the human chromosome at 16q23.3.
Immunogen: N-terminal His-tagged recombinant protein of human Cadherin 13
Legal Information: ExtrAvidin is a registered trademark of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany
Physical form: Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide
Preparation Note: For continuous use, store at 2–8 °C for up to one month. For extended storage, freeze in working aliquots. Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended.
