Immunofluorescence BLO-11 cells were fixed and permeabilized with methanol followed by acetone. Fixed cells were stained with 2 μg/mL Anti-Troponin T antibody, Mouse monoclonal, Clone: JLT-12 (Cat. No. SAB4200717) The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG, Cy3™ conjugate. Cells were counterstained with DAPI (blue) to stain nuclei.
Immunoblotting Whole extract of Rat skeletal muscle was separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Anti-Troponin T antibody, Mouse monoclonal, Clone: JLT-12 (Cat. No. SAB4200717). | Biochem/physiol Actions: | Troponin T (TNNT) participates in calcium regulation of actin thin filament function and is required for the contraction of striated muscles. Levels of cardiac Troponin T serve as a sensitive biomarker of myocardial injury. Troponin T has also been suggested as a potential marker in diagnosis of skeletal myopathies including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). |

Troponin T (TNNT) is the tropomyosin binding subunit of the troponin complex. Three genes have evolved to encode the cardiac (TNNT2), slow (TNNT1) and fast (TNNT3) skeletal muscle Troponin T proteins, which are specifically expressed in cardial, slow and fast skeletal muscles, respectively. |
