| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Chromosomal translocations stimulated by DNA topoisomerase II at the time of gene transcription is repressed by tyrosyl DNA phosphodiesterase-2 (TDP2). It is essential to preserve the chromosome stability in human cells. TDP2 participates in cell proliferation, apoptosis and the repair of DNA damage. It promotes cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in osteosarcoma cells. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | The antibody detects endogenous levels of total TDP2 protein. |

| General description: | Tyrosyl DNA phosphodiesterase-2 (TDP2) is a multi-functional protein and is also called as TTRAP (TNF receptor-associated protein). It is a 5′- tyrosyl DNA phosphodiesterase that belongs to the PML NB (promyelocytic leukemia nuclear body) protein family. TDP2 is mapped to human chromosome 6p22. |
| Immunogen: | Synthetic peptide corresponding to a region derived from internal residues of human tyrosyl-DNA phosphodiesterase 2 |
| Physical form: | Rabbit IgG in pH7.3 PBS, 0.05% NaN3, 50% Glycerol. |
