| General description: | Protein kinase R (PKR)-like endoplasmic reticulum kinase (PERK)/EIF2AK3 (eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 α kinase 3) is a type I transmembrane protein, located on ER (endoplasmic reticulum). It is a member of the eIF2α kinase subfamily. This gene is located on human chromosome 2p. EIF2AK3 has 16 exons and is made of cytoplasmic and kinase domains. |
