| Biochem/physiol Actions: | CREB binding protein (CBP) has a role in the activation of the innate immune response, activation of histones and non-histones through acetylation. It also plays an important role in cAMP-dependent and Wnt signaling. The protein is also involved in modulating the cell cycle, DNA damage repair, ubiquitination and antigen presentation. Mutations in the CBP gene have been associated with Rubinstein-Taybi syndrome. It has also been linked with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. |

| General description: | Anti-CBP Antibody detects endogenous levels of total CBP protein. CREB binding protein (CBP) is a histone acetyltransferase, which is part of the KAT3 family of histone acetyltransferases. The gene encoding it is localized on human chromosome 16p13.3. |
| Immunogen: | The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human CBP. Immunogen Range: 1501-1550 |
| Physical form: | Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. |
