| Application: | Anti-ENOS antibody produced in rabbit has been used in SDS-PAGE and western blotting. |
| Biochem/physiol Actions: | ENOS (endothelial nitric oxide synthase) is responsible for the production of nitric oxide. eNOS is known to stimulate vasodilation and regulate inflammation and myocyte function. Impairment of endothelium-dependent vasodilatation that is observed in acute hyperglycaemia condition is due to suppression of ENOS. The gene might be involved in lipolysis. Variation in ENOS might lead to Henoch-Schönlein purpura. ENOS polymorphism affects the NO concentration in plasma. |
