Notch signaling pathway is induced in a number of cancer types including colon, breast, pancreatic, cervical, head and neck, renal carcinoma, prostate cancer, Large-cell and Hodgkin lymphomas.Thus, NOTCH4 is known to participate in tumorigenesis. This gene is involved in the development of central nervous system and controls neuronal maturation. Mutations in the gene might be associated with schizophrenia. |
