Vimentin preserves cellular structure and tissue integrity. Vimentin is also known to bring about TNF-α (tumor necrosis factor-α) induced cell apoptosis.

General description: Anti-Vimentin Antibody detects endogenous levels of total Vimentin protein.
General description: The VIM (vimentin) gene codes for an intermediate filament protein, that is expressed throughout mesenchymal cells. VIM gene is mapped to human chromosome 10p13.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human Vimentin.

Physical form: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
