Biochem/physiol Actions: G protein-coupled receptor 174 (GPR174) plays a vital role in inducing signal transduction in immune cells. GPR174 upon lysophosphatidylserine (LysoPS) binding, enhances the production of intracellular cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) in a dose dependent manner. Mutation in GPR174 gene can be a risk factor for Graves’ disease (GD) and autoimmune addison’s disease (AAD). Upregulation of intracellular cAMP by GPR174 leads to the inhibition of immune cell proliferation. GPR174, as a LysoPS receptor, might play a crucial role in the central nervous system. Alteration in the expression of the gene results in vasovagal syncope (VVS). Overexpression of GPR174 is observed in subcutaneous metastases. Lysophosphatidylserine (LysoPS) secreted by the immune system in vivo, acts as a ligand for GPR174.

General description: G protein-coupled receptor 174 (GPR174) is a 333 amino acid protein encoded by the gene with one exon mapped to human chromosome Xq21.1. GPR174 is a member of G protein–coupled receptor 1(GPCR1) / rhodopsin-like family. The encoded protein consists of seven α -helical transmembrane domains. The protein is predominantly expressed in immune related tissues, and it is expressed at low levels in thyroid.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human GPR174.

Immunogen Range: 131-180
Physical form: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
