WAVE1 regulates chemoresistance during autophagy. The encoded protein plays an essential role in oligodendrocyte morphogenesis and myelination. In addition, it is also implicated in regulation of spine morphogenesis. Overexpression of the gene leads to the development of prostate cancer. |
