Biochem/physiol Actions: Interleukin 1 receptor associated kinase 1 (IRAK1) is a vital element of the interleukin-1 receptor (IL-1R) signaling pathway. IRAK1 functions as a downstream effector molecule of the toll like receptor (TLR) signaling pathway, implicated in inflammation, autoimmunity and cancer. IRAK1 is associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and it is overexpressed in various cancer types including lung cancer. IRAK1, is considered to be a potential therapeutic target in myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) metastasis and paclitaxel resistance. Increased expression of IRAK1 leads to head and neck squamous cell carcinomas (HNSCCs). Therefore, inhibition of IRAK1 might be a new therapeutic strategy in HNSCC.

General description: Interleukin 1 receptor associated kinase 1 (IRAK1) is a serine/threonine kinase encoded by the gene with 14 exons mapped to human chromosome xq28. The encoded protein belongs to the IRAK family. IRAK1is characterized with a death domain at its N-terminal end which is involved in protein interaction.
Immunogen: The antiserum was produced against synthesized peptide derived from human IRAK1 around the phosphorylation site of Thr209.

Immunogen Range: 175-224
Physical form: Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
