| General description: | Tyro3 (TYRO3 protein tyrosine kinase) is an 890 amino acid protein that belongs to the TAM (Tyro3, Axl and Mer) receptor family. Tyro3 is mapped to human chromosome 15q15. It is highly expressed in the nervous system like the neocortex, hippocampus and cerebellum. It is also present in monocytes, macrophages, platelets, dendritic cells and NK cells, breast, ovary, testis, lung, kidney, retinal pigment epithelium and osteoclasts. |
