| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Tcp1 (t-complex protein) is involved in protein folding mechanism of essential proteins such as actins, tubulin, cyclin E, α-transducin and von Hippel Lindau protein. Tcp1 participates in synthesis of proteins that make up the cytoskeleton and thus involved in cellular processes such as chromosome segregation, cell migration, and intracellular transport. Increased TCP1 gene expression is observed in cancer and upregulation elevates with the disease progression. |
