It is also termed cancer-testis antigen (CTA) or cancer-germline (CG) gene. The MAGE-A1 gene is mostly expressed in the human germline. It is also expressed in the placenta and various tumor cells. MAGE-A1 gene is located on human chromosome Xq28. |
