| General description: | Glycerol 3-phosphate oxidase is a member of the cytoplasmic oxygen utilizing catabolic enzymes. It is usually a cytoplasmic protein, present in M. pneumoniae. It is produced from glycerophospholipids, that are normally found in the respiratory tract. Glycerol 3-phosphate oxidase helps to reduce dioxygen to water/hydrogen peroxide. |
