Western blot analysis of fluorescent exosome standards (Cat. No. SAE0193) for the presence of various exosome-associated markers.
Quantification and size distribution of fluorescent exosome standards (Cat. No. SAE0193) under scatter (A) and fluorescence (B) NTA mode (fNTA), performed using NanoSight NS300. The percentage of fluorescence can be calculated from the particle concentration ratio fNTA/NTA. In the example illustrated, the percentage of fluorescence is 78%.
Fluorescent exosome standards (Cat. No. SAE0193) can be indirectly quantified using a fluorescent plate reader. The fluorescence intensity is linearly proportional to the number of particles.
Fluorescent exosome standards  (Cat. No. SAE0193) morphology as imaged by transmission electron microscopy (TEM)
Density distribution of fluorescent exosome standards  (Cat. No. SAE0193) spiked in healthy donor blood plasma, obtained by ODG centrifugation followed by NTA measurements of ODG fractions under scatter and fluorescence mode (PMID: 31337761)
Calculation of recovery efficiencies of size exclusion chromatography (SEC) versus the combination of SEC with Optiprep density gradient centrifugation from blood plasma by measuring spiked fluorescent exosome standards  (Cat. No. SAE0193) (4 × 1010) with NTA under fluorescence mode

Biochem/physiol Actions: Extracellular vesicles (Evs) are populations of cell-secreted membranous structures typically 30–150 nm in diameter.
In multicellular organisms, Evs are found in biological fluids and body tissues and involved in different physiological processes. They are also released to growth medium by cultured cells.

Evs carry markers of their cells of origin. Therefore there is a growing interest in clinical applications of EVs as biomarkers and therapies alike.
Components: Vial content: >= 1 x 10e9 particles
General description: These recombinant EV express green fluorescent protein (GFP) on their membrane surface, making them fluorescent. Their fluorescence enables sensitive and differential trackability and thus allowing them to be used as a biological reference material, to be implemented in EV separation methods and measurement instruments. These recombinant EV share equivalent physicochemical and biochemical properties to sample EV. They may be used for quality control, data normalization, method development and accurate calibration of optical and nonoptical EV measurement.
