General description:	Cefiderocol is a novel injectable siderophore cephalosporin, which was formerly known as S-649266.(1)(3) It has a catechol-type siderophore and cephalosporin core and side chains.(1) Cefiderocol has structural similarity with both ceftazidime and cefepime, besides the chlorocatechol group on the end of the C-3 chain.(2)
