Application: Parathyroid hormone (PTH) is an 84 amino acid hormone involved in calcium regulation, increases calcium levels in blood, in counteraction to calcitonin. PTH also regulates serum phosphate levels and vitamin D biosynthesis. PTH (39-84) and (53-84) are C-terminal peptides of PTH used to resolve PTH activity.
