| Biochem/physiol Actions: | Quercetin 3-glucuronide might reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer′s disease dementia. It is found to prevent the formation of β-amyloid (Aβ) peptides in mouse model. Quercetin 3-glucuronide is a metabolic product of dietary quercetin, which occurs in intestinal mucosa and liver. Quercetin 3-glucuronide possess antioxidant activity and is known to have a protective action on LDL (low density lipoprotein) oxidation. |
