Biochem/physiol Actions: Formycin A (FA) is a C-nucleoside that inhibits the E.coli enzyme purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP).
Biochem/physiol Actions: Formycin A (FA) is a C-nucleoside that inhibits the E.coli enzyme purine nucleoside phosphorylase (PNP). FA was found to upsurge insulin release elevated by glucose, and was also shown to inhibit 5′-Methylthioadenosine/S-adenosylhomocysteine (MTA/AdoHcy) nucleosidase, an enzyme important in the recycling of methionine. Research has shown FA is an antiretroviral agent against HIV-1, targeting reverse transcription.
Biochem/physiol Actions: Formycin A possess antitumor function, along with its antibacterial and antiviral activity.
General description: Chemical structure: nucleoside

New Tariffs & Effects on Pricing

Tariff note: As we navigate the current environment of tariff surcharges and mid-year manufacturer price increases, we want to keep you informed. While we have avoided making specific decisions thus far, we anticipate that we will be forced to implement a cost adjustment policy to offset the fees we have already been absorbing. We are committed to transparency and moderation in this process.
