Biochem/physiol Actions: | FCER1A (Fc fragment of IgE receptor Ia) is the α subunit of FcεRI (a heterotetramer (αβγ2)). FcεRI is a high-affinity IgE (immunoglobulin E) receptor. The IgE/FcεRI complex, along with antigens, results in transmission of inflammatory signal. These events cause degranulation of mast cells and basophils, and antigen presentation and cytokine generation in dendritic cells and monocytes. FcεRI plays an important role in allergic diseases via mast cell receptor associated immunological processes. Mutations in the FCER1A gene are associated with IgE-mediated allergic inflammation by Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus. |
General description: | FCER1A (Fc fragment of IgE receptor Ia) is from immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily. It interacts with IgE Fc domain. The gene is mapped to human chromosome 1q23. |
Physical form: | Lyophilized from 0.22 μm filtered solution in PBS, pH 7.4. Normally Mannitol or Trehalose is added as protectants before lyophilization. |
Reconstitution: | Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in sterile PBS, pH 7.4 to a concentration of 50 μg/mL. Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 month. For extended storage, it is recommended to store at -20°C. |
