Immunofluorescence
Double labeling of cultured chicken fibroblasts for vinculin using Monoclonal Anti-Human Vinculin (Clone no. hVIN-1, Cat. No. V9131) and Rabbit Anti-Tubulin (Cat. No. T3526) (green).
From Dr. J. V. Small, Institute of Molecular Biology, Academy of Sciences, Salzburg, Germany.
Western Blotting
Chicken gizzard extract was separated on SDS-PAGE and probed with Rabbit Anti-Tubulin (Cat. No. T3526). The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Rabit IgG-Peroxidase (Cat. No. A0545) and a chemiluminescent substrate.

Application: Anti-Tubulin antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting and indirect immunofluorescence.
Biochem/physiol Actions: αβ-tubulin heterodimers helps in formation of microtubules. Tubulin dimers exhibits GTPase activity, assembly and disassembly properties. It facilitates the construction of the flagellar apparatus.

General description: Microtubules are composed of tubulin and several additional proteins designated microtubule associated proteins (MAPs). Tubulin is a heterodimer which consists of an α-chain and a β-chain, both of which have a molecular weight of approximately 55,000. Microtubules form an elaborate cytoplasmic network during interphase and are reorganized into the mitotic spindle during cell division.
General description: Tubulin is an extremely conserved and negatively charged protein. It is expressed in all eukaryotic cells, but mainly in brains.
Immunogen: microtubule proteins from brains of 13 day old chicken embryos
Specificity: The product stains tubulin in cultured chicken fibroblasts or 3T3 mouse fibroblasts. Additional bands may be stained in immunoblotting.
