Biochem/physiol Actions: Tiludronate is a bisphosphonate bone resorption inhibitor. Tiludronate inhibits protein-tyrosine-phosphatase, leading to detachment of osteoclasts from the bone surface. It also inhibits the osteoclastic proton pump and is used to treat Paget′s disease.
